Not everyone shares our love for dogs in this world. Some perceive dogs merely as human possessions, buying them the cheapest food, and keeping them outside as houseguards. They cannot set aside their human pride, unable to grasp the concept of equality among all living beings.
《狗派男子》的緣由
Origin of the “Dog Dads” Project
2022 年，我第一次在板橋動物之家做攝影義工，開啟幫待認養狗狗拍攝照片的旅程。
那裡的狗兒沒有家，我最難以忘記的，就是他們幾乎失去希望的眼神。
他們渴望能擁有愛、擁有避風港的一天，卻遲遲不知那天什麼時候會來。
我想知道，我能為狗狗做些什麼？
身為勢單力薄的攝影師，我可以如何消弭人們對狗的歧見？讓更多人看見人與狗之間無可替代的感情？
如何經由名人的影響力，喚起關注流浪動物、善待生命的意識？
我的目標有三：
拍攝男子與他們的狗，喚起更多人疼愛並珍惜狗狗的意識，讓人們看見這群愛狗的「狗派男子」，他們的影像，就是人與狗兒間最甜蜜、最有愛的故事，證明感情可以超越物種，而狗就是永遠伴你身旁，永遠不會棄離你的家人。
線上發佈作品，在累積一定數量後，出版為實體攝影集。
捐獻實體攝影集部分營收給動物之家、動物保護團體，實現幫助動物的願望。
企劃持續進行中。
In 2022, I volunteered for the first time as a photographer at the Banqiao Animal Shelter, embarking on a journey to photograph dogs awaiting adoption. The dogs there had no homes, and what haunts me the most is the almost-hopeless look in their eyes. They yearned for a day to have love and a sanctuary, but the arrival of that day remained uncertain.
I wanted to know, what could I do for these dogs?
As a photographer with limited resources, how could I dispel misconceptions about dogs and showcase the irreplaceable bond between humans and dogs? How could I leverage the influence of public figures to raise awareness about stray animals and promote a compassionate attitude towards life?
My goals are threefold:
Photograph men and their dogs to awaken the consciousness of caring for and cherishing dogs, showcasing a group of canine-loving "dog dads." Their images will tell the sweetest, most loving stories between humans and dogs, proving that love can transcend species, and dogs are family members who will always be at your side and never abandon you.
Post the works online, and publish them as a photography book when enough materials are gathered.
Donate a portion of the proceeds from the publication to animal shelters or animal protection organizations, fulfilling my wish to contribute to animal welfare.
